Clinch-Powell showed true southern hospitality to NeighborWorks America and Fahe Leaders

Go to What's New

On July 24th, Clinch-Powell Staff and Board Members welcomed key leaders from NeighborWorks America and Fahe starting with a job site visit showcasing the Clinch-Powell philosophy of mixed income development and wealth building for working families. The visit continued with an in-depth discussion about housing challenges in Appalachia, our broad-based community development programming and partnerships of Clinch-Powell and plans for the future. Clinch-Powell hopes to become a charter member of NeighborWorks America and is currently working through the in-depth application process.

We were proud to offer Southern hospitality in the historic Bryan House and feature a locally grown and prepared lunch of fresh salad with Bryan House Poppy Seed dressing, baked potatoes with all the fixin's, pulled pork from Backwoods Barbeque, fresh sliced Grainger County tomatoes followed with homemade cookies and apple cobbler made with apples grown on the Bryan House lawn.

The two hour lunch visit included fine china, crystal glasses and wonderful conversation about Clinch-Powell and all that we do for the communities we serve. It was great to meet our new friends, Susan, Christie and Katie from NeighborWorks America, and see our longtime Fahe friends, Jim, Pam and Angela. We look forward to seeing them all again soon!
