Lindy Turner, Executive Director of Clinch-Powell RC&D Council received the Fahe Award for Excellence in Innovation at Fahe’s 2026 Annual Meeting in Huntington, West Virginia.

BEREA, KENTUCKY – Fahe recognized Clinch-Powell RC&D Council with the 2026 Fahe Award for Excellence in Innovation during Fahe’s Annual Meeting in Huntington, West Virginia.

The Fahe Award for Excellence in Innovation recognizes a Member for a creative new service, product, approach, program, or communications effort that responds to community needs in an effective way.

Clinch-Powell was recognized for Dollar$ and $ense, a podcast that expanded into a radio program focused on family, faith, finances, and practical community resources. The program has featured public agencies, nonprofits, local professionals, and community members, creating an accessible platform for information and storytelling in the Upper Cumberland region.

“Clinch-Powell’s leadership and staff were brave enough to take a chance on something unique, and it meets clients where they are,” said Jackie Weiss, Member Services Manager at Fahe. “Dollar$ and $ense shows how thoughtful communication can become a true community resource.”

The program grew from a podcast into a radio show and online resource, using media to connect listeners with practical guidance, local expertise, and stories of resilience and opportunity.

Fahe presented the award during its Annual Meeting, held September 22–24 in Huntington, West Virginia. The gathering brought together Fahe Members, partners, and other leaders working to strengthen communities throughout Appalachia.
