Stories of the Past, Roots for the Future
Cinch-Powell partnered with The Nature Conservancy through the Cumberland Community Forest Fund to support multiple community projects, one of which helped bring the Blue Diamond Interpretive Center to life at the Clearfork Community Institute.
This new center will serve as a space to preserve the region’s rich history and culture, honor the stories that shaped the community, and educate future generations about the local environment and its traditional uses.
Elizabeth and Appalachia CARES AmeriCorps member Aslan, attended the ribbon cutting during the first-ever Mountain Heritage Day celebration to represent Clinch-Powell and support this exciting step forward.
