AmeriCorps members support Clinch-Powell’s housing services initiatives, including home repair, housing counseling, resource support, community outreach, etc. The Appalachia CARES program is currently recruiting AmeriCorps members to serve in Cocke and Grainger Counties. Cocke County members will deliver critical service to individuals impacted by Hurricane Helene, and members in both counties will support “Living in Place” services for low-income seniors. Program participants bridge vital gaps in community service while preparing and/or strengthening job readiness skills.
