AmeriCorps members will serve in a warehouse environment, supporting the staff and outreach programs of the agency. Activities include sorting and loading donated items (including some heavy lifting), stocking the food pantry, and keeping the warehouse and donation area clean.

All Appalachia CARES AmeriCorps members will complete educational and hands-on projects in the community to address national performance measures, including housing services, conservation, and volunteer management. Specific assignments and targets will be based on the service site and position. All members will complete AmeriCorps training requirements, quarterly reporting, and logging service hours.
