On February 11th, Board Member, Cherry Acuff, and Staff Member, Rebecca Dillow, attended the Hawkins County Legislative Breakfast in Rogersville, TN at The American Legion Post 21.

The Cherokee HS NJROTC and the Cherokee Chorale did an amazing job presenting the colors and singing the National Anthem.
Legislators in attendance included Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger, Senator Jon Lunberg, State Representatives Gary Hicks Jr. and Scotty Campbell.
Another Clinch-Powell Board Member, Nancy Barker, who serves as the Executive Director of the Hawkins County Chamber of Commerce, was the MC and did a phenomenal job.

It was great to be able to hear from our local officials and also let them know about our concerns about the lack of affordable housing here in East TN and across the state.
